  1. There appears to be a problem with SuperVGA displays.

  3. The program DEEDPLT0.EXE is written and compiled with QuickBASIC 4.5
  4.  
  5. QuickBASIC 4.5 predates the invention of SVGA, and has no routines to handle
  6. it.  I have been told that the new (in '93) $130 QuickBASIC 4.5 is the same as
  7. the old (from '88) $65 version, but I have not personally tested this.  I also
  8. have not tested the QBASIC interpreter included in the new and improved MS-DOS.

  10. DEEDPLT0 tests your system and thinks that your SVGA is a VGA, the highest
  11. video mode in its list.

  13. SuperVGA gets insulted.  "I am a SUPERIOR VGA.  Harrumptff!"

  15. Not having a SVGA, this is no problem for me.  If this causes a problem for
  16. you, then you can send me a SVGA system to experiment upon.

  18. If there exists any documentation or fixes, I would like to be informed
  19. thereof.
