There appears to be a problem with SuperVGA displays.
The program DEEDPLT0.EXE is written and compiled with QuickBASIC 4.5
QuickBASIC 4.5 predates the invention of SVGA, and has no routines to handle
it. I have been told that the new (in '93) $130 QuickBASIC 4.5 is the same as
the old (from '88) $65 version, but I have not personally tested this. I also
have not tested the QBASIC interpreter included in the new and improved MS-DOS.
DEEDPLT0 tests your system and thinks that your SVGA is a VGA, the highest
video mode in its list.
SuperVGA gets insulted. "I am a SUPERIOR VGA. Harrumptff!"
Not having a SVGA, this is no problem for me. If this causes a problem for
you, then you can send me a SVGA system to experiment upon.
If there exists any documentation or fixes, I would like to be informed
thereof.
